Publicación científica en el estudiantado de ciencias médicas, más allá de la utopía
Abstract
La investigación constituye una de las aristas de la formación profesional que pretende lograr la universidad médica cubana. Para ello cada centro de altos estudios dispone de los Grupos Científicos Estudiantiles, conformados por estudiantes con alta capacidad y disposición para la investigación científica. Ello responde al estrecho vínculo entre la investigación científica y el desarrollo de la ciencia, necesarios para el avance científico-técnico de una sociedad. El proceso investigativo culmina con la publicación del manuscrito, constituyendo su expresión final.
La publicación del artículo científico es parte esencial de la investigación, por lo que no se encuentra completo un estudio mientras sus resultados no sean accesibles para la comunidad científica. En los últimos años el estudiantado ha asumido la importante labor de investigar y publicar desde el pregrado, lo cual no ha sido sencillo, ante los obstáculos enfrentados en el proceso investigativo y la posteriormente divulgación de sus resultados, encontrando en varias ocasiones limitaciones por ser estudiantes de pregrado, haciendo una errónea asociación entre el hecho de no estar graduado y la baja o nula calidad de una investigación por parte de los comités editoriales de las revistas biomédicas.
